New falls rule for cross-country

All members taking part in horse trials competitions should note that a new rule has been introduced for fallers on the cross-country course.

The FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale) at a recent meeting amended the rule so that all fallers, horse and or rider, will be eliminated.

This applies to all fallers on the course irrespective of whether it happened at an obstacle or not.

Previously it only applied to fallers at an obstacle. This new rule will apply to all riding club horse trials and became effective on 1st July 2009.
